From Feb. 22nd through March 2nd, for six shows only, I was thrilled to perform in Prospect Theater’s 2013 Musical Theatre Lab: Portraits.
Prospect, one of New York’s most prolific and creative producers of new musicals (as well as other great theatre) has been doing this project for several years now. It goes something like this:
– Select 6 to 8 musical theatre composer teams
– choose a theme
– have each team write a short musical based on that theme
– bring in a troupe of actors who are ready for anything
– spend a few weeks learning and shaping and staging and…
Voila! An evening of exciting, original musical theatre is born!
