\"PORTRAITS-postcard-image-WE\"<\/a>From Feb. 22nd through March 2nd, \u00a0for six shows only, I was thrilled to perform in\u00a0Prospect Theater’s 2013 Musical Theatre Lab: Portraits<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Prospect<\/a><\/strong>, one of New York’s most prolific and creative producers of new musicals (as well as other great theatre) has been doing this project for several years now. It goes something like this:
\n– Select 6 to 8 musical theatre composer\u00a0teams
\n– choose a theme
\n– have each team write a short\u00a0musical based on that theme
\n– bring in a troupe of actors who\u00a0are ready for anything
\n– spend a few weeks learning and\u00a0shaping and staging and\u2026
\nVoila<\/strong><\/em>! An evening of exciting,\u00a0original musical theatre is born!<\/p>\n

As Prospect described it:<\/p>\n

\nFrom a crisp black and white, to a sepia\u00a0<\/span>daguerreotype<\/span>, to the rich shades of a classic canvas, every portrait tells a story.
