In addition to Thanksgiving, November brought three sold-out performances of my one-man show Searching for Tevye <\/em><\/strong>at Don’t Tell Mama <\/strong>in New York. I was so pleased to hear such positive feedback from audience members as well as the press. With the recent passing of Stephen Sondheim, the show has taken on even more poignance for me, since my experience with Sondheim – both the man and his music – was such an important influence to me as an actor, and is a major topic of the show.
After hearing from so many people who couldn’t make it to our November shows, we’ve decided to add two more performances<\/strong> next month! Yes! We’ll be back at Don’t Tell Mama, Wednesday, January 12th<\/a> <\/strong>and Thursday,<\/strong> January 13th<\/a><\/strong>, both at 7pm<\/strong>. I’m super excited that my onstage team will all be back for these encore performances: Ben Kiley <\/strong>on piano, Steve Count<\/strong> on Bass and Sabina Torosjan <\/strong>on violin. As with our first shows, these added performances are likely to sell out, so reserve your seats soon<\/strong>! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Searching for Tevye<\/em> is a cabaret-style show that answers the question: How did a nerdy theatre kid from Brighton ditch a booming Wall Street career to pursue his dream of becoming a Broadway actor?  And what does all that have to do with a fictional dairyman named Tevye? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Directed by Tanya Moberly<\/strong> (Bistro Award Winner), with Musical Director Ben Kiley<\/strong> (assistant Music Director of Fiddler on the Roof in Yiddish) on piano, Steve Count<\/strong> on bass and Sabina Torosjan<\/strong> on violin, Searching for Tevye<\/em>  features music spanning folk rock, American Songbook, and musical theatre classics from Sondheim to – of course – Fiddler on the Roof  <\/em><\/strong>(in English or Yiddish… who knows? Come see for yourself). <\/p>\n\n\n\n
