My new one-man show Searching for Tevye<\/em><\/strong> is coming to New York City in November<\/strong> for just three performances at the legendary cabaret, Don’t Tell Mama<\/a><\/strong>! We open with a matinee on <\/strong>. That will be followed by two evening performances on and , both at 7pm<\/strong>. I love the intimacy of Don’t Tell Mama – It’s perfect for this show! We had a great trip to my hometown of Rochester a couple weeks ago to premiere Searching for Tevye<\/em>, for four performances, at the beautiful CenterStage Theatre at the Rochester JCC. It was such joy to share this story – which is grounded in my Rochester roots – with so many old friends, many of whom I’ve known for decades.

Searching for Tevye<\/em> is a cabaret-style show that answers the question: How did a nerdy theatre kid from Brighton ditch a booming Wall Street career to pursue his dream of becoming a Broadway actor?\u00a0 And what does all that have to do with a fictional dairyman named Tevye?

Directed by Tanya Moberly<\/strong> (Bistro Award Winner), with Musical Director Ben Kiley<\/strong> (assistant Music Director of Fiddler on the Roof <\/em>in Yiddish), Searching for Tevye<\/em>\u00a0 features music spanning folk rock, American Songbook, and musical theatre classics from Sondheim to – of course – Fiddler on the Roof\u00a0 <\/em>(in English or Yiddish… who knows?).
